So ... CRPGs are on sale again at GOG. Any recommendations?

Talk about games or general tech issues that are not Sierra related.

How curious. I did the same on google and found links to tell me what a CRPG is, a link to someone's CRPG project, and links to CRPG questions on Reddit etc. There was even a question about a "CRPG toilet". :P But nothing to say that. *shrug* Oh well, thank you. :)
Did you scroll down? I just used Google to search "CRPG toolset" and the link I gave you is the fourth one listed, but you might need to scroll down a little to see it.

I saw that, but the google result didn't include the word "toolset" or "NWN", so I didn't click on it. *shrug* Obviously I know better now, but when the result just says this...

"24 Jan 2011 — Let's say I want to make a cRPG. But I have no idea about programming. I heard about RPG Maker but is this the only possibility?"

... well.

Anyway, it's an entertaining thread and quite true. If you want to make something as complex as a CRPG, you'd better know something about programming. ;) I taught a computer to play Tic-Tac-Toe -- which is surely much less complex than a CRPG -- but it still involved a lot of programming and debugging. That's just the nature of things. :)

What're you talking about? The result came back with the heading "cRPG engine & toolsets?" That literally has the words "CRPG" and "toolsets" in it (which were the two words you used in your search), and why would it have "NWN" if you didn't enter that as part of the search?

Yes ... oh. Whoops. *blush* I thought I was looking specifically for the NWN toolset. Looks like I wasn't. Don't mind me; it's early morning here, and I'm still making my first coffee of the day... *whistles innocently* ;)

Yeah... I've definitely had days like that.
