In this game, I'll start a story and every post will be a line continuing that story. Let's limit each line to 20 words or less. Here we go:

It was a dark and stormy night, when....

[* Colonel Bechamel]

... the house was struck by lightning. Then a car pulled up.

[* Cup Half Full]

out stepped a man. who seemed interested. but then wasn't sure.

[* Samhain]

The man approached the house and knocked on the door.

[* Error404]

A light in the living room turned on.

[* Colonel Bechamel]

A voice said: "Is that you, Thor? No more lightning bolts, please."

[* Samhain]

"No, sir. I am a door to door insurance salesman."

[* Red Herring]

"Again? That seems misleading!"

[* Colonel Bechamel]

"All right, sir, you got me. I really am Thor."

[* Samhain]

"Well, come on in. And let's talk about this lightning storm."

[* Cup Half Full]

"i guess," he said.

[* Samhain]

"Look, I understand that you are the God of Thunder, but this storm is frightening my dog."

[* Colonel Bechamel]

Thor grumbled. "Can I borrow your dog? He could pull my sleigh. Tanngrisnir is sick today."

[* Cup Half Full]

the man looked aghast, "no, you can not have my dog. he is everything to me. perhaps my neighbor's cat? that thing is vile."

[* Samhain]

Thor said, "No, only a dog will do. Have you ever tried to get a get to do... anything?"
