Happy new year, all. I hope the fireworks didn't wake you up (like it did me). :( I was deep asleep, when suddenly ... BANG! BANG! BANG!

It sounded very close, and made me jump. I looked at the time ... 1:30 am. WTF? :shock:

Normally people around us set off fireworks (which is illegal to do in most of California, for citizens to do it, due to the fire hazard it presents)...
And it happened to be pouring rain for the last week. Like good, California rain.
So most people didn't go outside and fire off their fireworks.
Every blue moon you might hear one, but overall, WAY quieter than it has been the previous years.
