... and dirt ascends skywards. Buzzards fly away in panic, lightning flashes melodramatically (and conveniently). A cracked voice cackles on the storm:
So, yeah. Hi again, folks. Posting here again after a week-and-a-half of having no computer (since my last one decided to die). I now have a new one, conveniently (or not so much) upgraded to Win11. (The horror).
Anyways. Howdy! I might need a hand a little later with running Sierra games on Win11, but for now, it's good to be back.

Welcome back. Sorry to hear about your old computer, but congratulations on the new one. I guess this makes the discussion on the "So...no one else is gonna bring it up?" thread moot.

Welcome back. Curious to see if you continue to see vanishing posts with the new computer.

Sorry to hear your computer finally died, but that's what I was afraid of when you mentioned start-up/random HDD-running issues.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 7:55 am So, yeah. Glad you're back on the air! Or at least on the Interwebz!

Yes ... I started planning for the future with this new computer. The OS is on its own SSD, and my old Win7/10 drive is now a standalone (just there to hold data).notbobsmith wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 12:29 pm Welcome back. My new computer also has an modern i5 CPU and 32 GB of RAM. Presumably that ought to hold for the next few years.
Actually, yes. I posted last night in this thread... and now my long and detailed reply is gone. Eek?
Eh, my computer was just over 7.5 years when it died. It was time for it to go to the great transistor factory in the sky.
Thanks for the welcome!
