Loved stumbling across this. Reminded me of my younger years.

I love that the Youtube Algorithm is now adjusting to include 80s arcade references. Been fun to watch this.
Man, remember when the news wasn't just depressing?

Heh, I remember the pinball machines, Pac-Man, Frogger, Space Invaders ...
("I spent a lot of money ... about five dollars ... every day") Then again, $5.00 in the 1980s was more more than it is now.
It's hard to imagine a time when this sort of innocent entertainment was considered threatening to adults. I wasn't part of the arcade "scene" in the 80s, but I did grow up during that decade, and I had an Atari game machine and then a Commodore 64. (But I was only allowed to play games on them on weekends, and even then, only after finishing my homework. So, I did spend a lot of my free time with so-called 'healthy outdoor activities' like sport).
Yes, I remember a time when the news wasn't just depressing. I think the downturn started not long after GWB became POTUS, and gotten steadily worse and worse.
That said, I do remember 80s hair - and hair bands. (I'm thinking Europe, Poison, Guns 'N Roses, Mötley Crüe, etc.)
Personally, I find these advertisements hilarious ...
