Space Quest 2 Master Disk Blunder Source Code.

In Space No One Can Hear You Clean, er, Scream. But if you post in this forum about Space Quest - someone's sure to hear you. I think. Try it, anyway!

Space Quest 2 Master Disk Blunder Source Code.

Collector posted this over on the book of faces, so I figured I'd post it here too.

That is really cool. A mistake someone made all those years ago only recently discovered that unintentionally preserves some of the original source code.

I think I may have noticed something like this myself. I made a disk image for F-15 Strike Eagle using my Kryoflux. I took a look at the disk image with a hex editior (I don't actually know what I'm doing, I was just curious) and noticed bits of text with ship names, like USS Thresher. The thing is, ships don't appear anywhere in the game. My best guess was that it was from another Microprose game: Silent Service, only I couldn't figure out how it got there. I wonder if something similar happened.
