Yeah, I've bought a number of good games (ones that I've considered buying in the past) for extremely low prices. :D

Steam has all five episodes of Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse for a total of $9.99. That's 71% off the normal price of $34.99.

If you don't have S&M:TDP, I'd strongly suggest getting it. This sale is ONE DAY only. Unfortunately, that day is TODAY, which means some people here will probably miss it, but if you do read this post in time, go get it! :)

Steam has the Monkey Island Special Edition Bundle for $3.75. That's 75% of the regular sale price!

This is another one-day sale, so if you don't have the special editions of MI1 or MI2, you might want to grab them.

Steam had the Serious Sam Gold pack for $3.99 this morning which includes Serious Sam 1 and 2 AND the HD remakes. I didn't have the cash at the moment so my dad bought 3 copies for me, him, and my brother. $12.00 instead of $120.00!!

I bought Lost Horizon on sale for $9.99 (it's normally $19.99).

I was also looking at the Crysis Maximum Edition bundle (which contains Crysis and Crysis: Warhead). Normally CME is $39.99, but it's $9.99 right now.

That's obviously a great deal, but... I'm not sure how well my current PC would play those games. I've read (and seen on YouTube) that computers rated beneath my machine can and have run it, but not on max settings. Even so, buying them might be worth it since I could play them on a computer I get in the future.

I bought a ton of games on Steam this past week or so. I was tempted to buy The Devil's Playhouse, but I passed for now. I have the first two as retail boxes, and I'd rather wait for when the third gets a retail box. Been hard resisting a lot of the deals, though. Although I'm not happy that I bought Braid for $5, then I saw the Humble Indie Bundle which comes with Braid, and I bought that and got a Steam key, but I can't gift the extra copy of Braid that I should have.

The Police Quest series (1-4) is now available on Good Old Games! That's the exact same package as the one on Direct2Drive and it's $10 cheaper! The only problem is, it comes with the remake only instead of the original AGI version of PQ1, which is strange considering all GoG's other Sierra titles come with the AGI originals...

I'm going to download a couple of these to see what the bonus content they deliver is like. I've been curious about it for a while now, I just never downloaded them since I own all of them.

Du-OH! I meant to take the opportunity to go ahead and grab KQ VII-VIII, and got busy and forgot ... oh well, don't really have time to play right now anyway. :)

Steam is currently selling the Sam & Max Complete Pack for $17.99! That's all three series together, which would normally be $50 or so.

I'm confused. Having never played ANY of the monkey installments, I'm very interested, but this looks like a telltale version made in 5 parts, and looks to not include any of the original games. Is that correct? Is this telltale 5-part version worth it? Should I wait until playing all the others first?

thanks,
..dane
