I'm guessing the .DUK file is not corrupted, since the game still crashes with the file you uploaded. Could the .CLU file have anything to do with the game crashing?

Try it.

Still not working, but is 6830.CLU the file for that scene? I changed it to "6802", since all the .CLU files have the same file size, but not sure if they have the same information, and it still crashes after the scene zooms in.

Is there anyway for DOSBox to show a message as to why this is occurring?

Sorry, just accidentally grabbed the file next to the right one.

That's alright, but I guess it's not the .CLU file, as it still produces the same problem. Not sure what else could be causing this crash.

Do you have VLC installed? see if you can play the DUK.

Just got VLC, and it plays the file with no issues.

I asked before, but you must have missed it, is this the Windows only version or the one that included both interpreters? What does the version file on the CD say?

I have the Windows version of the game. Sorry about that, I got the version of the game wrong, since the manual & the CD has instructions for DOS, and just noticed that the files mentioned are not in the CD.

the version file on the first two CD's says "001.0.000". the 2nd CD has another version using the .BAK extension saying "000.7.000". The third, fourth, and fifth CD says "000.1P.0v" with a symbol next to the v.

OK, that is the same version that I was using to compare against and it is working for me. Try a clean reinstall.

I downloaded the same installer in case the one I have might have had some problems related to the crashing.

I removed any leftover entries in the registry of the game after uninstalling, then reinstalled the game, and it's still having the same problem when it zooms in.

There should not be anything in the registry after installing, unless you are talking about what Windows itself would add, like the MRU cache. There are really on two entries that the installer makes, and those two are just for the uninstaller.

Let me download the copy from the site and try reinstalling from that. I have been using my local copy, though I fail to see how it would make a difference.

Just did it. It still works for me. Are you using a SVN version of DOSBox?

No SVN builds, only using the latest version of DOSBox from dosbox.com.

I only deleted the entries of the applications in the game directory, in case of any problems from reinstalling. Certain games like "The Sims" had this problem.

Grab the tool attached in this post, run it on the installed directory and attach the result as a file, do not just copy and paste. I can compare the files between your installation and mine.
