Really? You need to ask that? :D
I think I just asked one of my stupidest questions ever.

;)
Pretty close. :-D

Actually... I had no idea you ever did any of that, Tawmis. :P

I guess I can see your point (about music videos), but I'd at least appreciate it if people would mark those videos as such. It's really annoying to find a video clip, thinking it's from the actual game, movie or TV show and then get bombarded with music.

YouTube music videos do serve one good purpose, however. You can download the video off YouTube and then convert the file into an MP3. That's an easy way to download music. ;)

No, the silly question was what name I use on Twitter. (Since I use "Tawmis" for everything). :)

On that I agree (marking videos correctly) - which I always made a point of doing.

Actually you can do it without downloading the video. Stream the video then use GoldWave to capture the sound that goes to your Soundcard. (I only have the registered version of GoldWave so not sure if you can do it on the freebie version).

I don't have Goldwave, but I've got Audacity. I'm not sure if it'd do the trick. Regardless, I have a Firefox extension that allows me to download nearly any video off the Internet. Add that to Oxelon Media Converter (a separate program that can convert audio and video to any format), and I've got myself something to work with.

Going beyond music, Oxelon is pretty useful. It'll let me make video that works on the PSP or a cell phone (and vice-versa). Sometimes you just want a different video format, too. I've converted RealMedia and QuickTime files into video I can watch easily, without downloading additional software.

Audacity is just as good. And it's free you can't usually beat free.
I have GoldWave because I have used it forever, and once I started doing Neverending Nights, it was just the easiest audio editor for me to use (after many years using it).

For me, I usually use FRAPS to capture whatever video in whatever format, and then usually change it to WMV.

Again, only have FRAPS because of my voyage into doing Neverending Nights.

I guess you make do with whatever you're used to using.
