Oh dear.
So "The Phantom Menace" has nothing to do with Star Wars, in this case. And why is Gabriel Knight in Lost Wages anyway? What's he doing so far from Louisiana? =\ I'm no expert on US geography, but I'm pretty sure that N'Orleans and Los Vegas are on opposite sides of the country (almost) and have opposite weathers, right? N'Orleans, IIRC, is hot and humid; Los Vegas is hot and dry.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. But I hope I'm not doing too badly for a darn' furriner.
Quest for Glory VI (subtitled "Quest for Worry"). At the end of QfG5, the hero - a thief - chose to become king, married Budar, and moved into the Hall of Kings. Huzzah!
Now the hero must deal with reality: the Hall of Kings is drafty and damp, it's mortgaged to the hilt, Silmaria is broke because of the Gloriana Financial Crisis, and he has no job security and three kids.
If that's not enough, Budar's bugging him for new clothes and shoes, the kids are crying and breaking stuff, and the littlest one is still in potty training.
So one late night, while the hero is trying to sleep, he summoned out of his nice warm bed and into Erasmus's Tower, and given a new quest. Why? Because "A Hero Has To Go Where A Hero Has To Go". *insert Brooklyn raspberry here*
Unfortunately, Gloriana has no toilets, so now our hero (who didn't go in five whole games) can't hold it in any more, and so he goes all over Erasmus's clean floor. (Yuck). The hero is arrested and charged with committing distinctly unheroic behaviour.
But it's not all bad news. At least in jail, he can relax.
Then Erasmus arrives and bails him out of jail, so he can go on an adventure again. Noooooooooooooo!
(Disclaimer: this game has nothing whatsoever to do with "Quest for Glory 4.5". Seriously)
Also, sorry for making it so long. Once I started, the inspiration ran away from me and I had to catch it.
