King's Quest VI from 1st Collection - no Speech

First off, kudos for keeping these games alive, they are amazing.
With the upcoming release of silver lining I wanted to revisit kq6 which I have via the First KQ collection. I ran the exe at your help site for KQCollectorsEditionDisc2Setup.exe, and seemed to run fine. However when I run KQ6 with DOSBox, I'm not getting any speech. If I open the Settings page to push the Text button it says, This button is reserved for CD version of King's Quest VI. Umm, isn't that what I'm using? I'm confused.
Here is my resource.cfg:
videoDrv = VGA320.DRV
soundDrv = ADL.DRV
audioDrv = AUDBLAST.DRV
joyDrv = NO
kbdDrv = IBMKBD.DRV
mouseDrv = STDMOUSE.DRV
memoryDrv = ARM.DRV
minHunk = 207k
language = 1
cmd = kq6cd
sync = .\
audio = .\
audioSize = 8K
cd = YES
audio = .\
sync = .\
movieDir = .\seq
patchDir = .\
I'm hoping you have some idea whats going on, because when I explain my complicated setup to get this far, I think you'll say thats the real problem.
My setup is on Linux, I used Wine to run the installer, which was fine.
But running the Shortcuts you supply with your setup, do not work running from Wine which then launches DOSBox - I just get a black screen with horrible audio for the startup music(sierra logo and KQvi logo)
And running the windows version through Wine does not work at all.
So I installed a linux native DOSBox .74 and ran SIERRA.EXE through that, and that worked very well with everything working except the Speech. Is there something other than the RESOURCE.CFG that would tell SIERRA.EXE that it is indeed the CD version?
I hope you can help.
