Needing KQ7 v1

Post by beigemore »

I've got the box and paperwork for King's Quest 7 v1, the one that only works with Windows. I'd really like to get the game disc, manual, and jewel case for the disc so I can have a complete copy, but it seems like nobody online ever distinguishes which version they're actually selling.. most likely because they don't know the difference. Is there a way I can positively identify a version 1 disc when buying online?

I am unaware of any external differences.

Only in the VERSION file. There are some numbers around the hub of the CD that may be some kind of catalog or lot number, but you would need compare. I have 3 versions, but my copy of 1.4 is from my 2006 VU collection, so I don't know what was on the hub.
