Earthsiege 1 Expansion Disk
Hi there! This is my first post. I love this site and have always loved sierra games. I looked around the best I could to make sure this wasn't posted already so forgive me if this has already been covered. I can't find the expansion to the first eartsiege game anywhere. I then found on this site's metaltech update page what looks to be a link to download the expansion. But when I click on it its sends me to a page saying "file not found". So two questions. One, is that indeed the expansion pack w/ new mechs and campaigns and two, is that a broken link??

Hi jthreddragon and welcome aboard
. I haven't checked the download you are refering to (i'm sure Collector can help you with that), but, as far as i know, the expansion pack for Earthsiege is a speechpack, adding only voices, not additional Hercs and campaigns.
See backcover of the expansion in attachment.

Re: Earthsiege 1 Expansion Disk
I believe Rudy is right.
Most titles back then were Speech Packs. I've seen some other expansions that introduced "mission editors" (Red Baron comes to mind). There were a few incidences of early games adding new missions and vehicles (such as Origin Systems when concerning Wing Commander, but even then, Speech Packs were more common for many of that company's games), but they are far and few between.
Unless you're dying to hear the voices in the game, I'd suggest saving some time and money and just play the "non-talkie" version. You're not missing much. Trust me, I've played every game in the EarthSiege universe.
