Re: Cybergladiators - Windows 11
Er ... I assume CyberGladiators is a DOS game? I have never heard of it.
For a start, you can try the Tech Support section on Rudy's "Sierra Chest" site: http://sierrachest.com/index.php?a=game ... s&fld=tech
If it is a DOS game, you can also try DOSBox. It needs a bit of tinkering, but it's easy enough to use.
For anything else, I'll leave this thread to those with more knowledge than me. Buona fortuna!

I'd never heard of the game either, but a five-second Google search told me that Cyber Gladiators is a Windows 95 game.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 4:39 am Er ... I assume CyberGladiators is a DOS game? I have never heard of it.

A good idea, but it may not solve the issue of running a Win95 game (that's 26 years old) on Windows 11. It might need a specific installer or something similar to get it to run properly, assuming compatibility mode — if such a thing exists on Win11 — doesn't solve the problem (and let's be honest, compatibility mode usually doesn't do anything useful, regardless of Windows version).Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 4:39 am For a start, you can try the Tech Support section on Rudy's "Sierra Chest" site: http://sierrachest.com/index.php?a=game ... s&fld=tech

Re: Cybergladiators - Windows 11
Oops, I forgot to google it. Windows 95 narrows your options considerably.
I mean, you could try Scummvm. It's a program which allows you to run some classic adventure and/or role-playing games, provided you already have their data files.
The operative word is some -- Scummvm doesn't support all classic games. (I don't know any one program that does!) But it's worth a try, right?

Re: Cybergladiators - Windows 11
You may want to try your luck at Vogons.org. I did manage to find an 8 year old thread where they had some luck with Windows XP. Although XP is 5 OSs removed from Windows 11.
https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f= ... rs#p259018
This might be a lot of work, but running Windows 95 in DOSBox is possible.
https://DOSBox-x.com/wiki/Guide%3AInstalling-Windows-95
I tried this years ago and got it to sort of work, but I think I had problems getting a game to install. It looks like some progress has been made since then.

The heck...he's using one of my old avatars and it threw me right off for a second lol.
Afraid I've never heard of the game though.

Yes, so did I. Just wondering, MI: what is that avatar from? A game? A show? Just curious.
Re: Cybergladiators - Windows 11
I thought it was you at first. I can't remember if I have it in the avatar gallery or not. If so, its addition to the gallery would have predated your usage.MusicallyInspired wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 11:40 am The heck...he's using one of my old avatars and it threw me right off for a second lol.

That can't be. I cropped that image myself. The dimensions and pixels are identical.

Did ye ever use the avatar on other forums, other than here, where they may have snaked it from?MusicallyInspired wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 9:56 pm That can't be. I cropped that image myself. The dimensions and pixels are identical.

Then it's mystery solved.
I hope no-one snakes your new image, MI (King Graham playing a violin? *light bulb goes on* It's KQ2, isn't it?)

Re: Cybergladiators - Windows 11
Not a mystery (or an offence really). I was just thrown off when I first saw it is all lol. And no, it's just KQ1 not KQ2. Graham doesn't play a fiddle in KQ2.
