King’s Quest 6 Hi-Res Assets

Post by Semi-Happy Partygoer »

Are there any external programs capable of viewing the Windows hi-res portraits and inventory item artwork?

Are the files contained in the ACTORS folder? Because attempting to open that with SV delivers a "no resources found" message. Unless I have the wrong directory, do any settings need to be changed before they're accessible? I can't seem to find them when loading the main resources folder, only the standard graphics.

I was thinking that they were VIEWs, but only the DOS ones are. I suspect that they are in the BIN files in the ACTORS directory. I'm not sure what can view the contents of those. My SEQ Tool can open, play and edit the SEQs. SV can view and extract/convert all of the other resources. You could try asking on on the SCIprogramming forum.
