I've just been aboard the Collector Ship, and it turns out it was a trap and Illusive Man knew. I was suspicious about him from the very beginning, but now I'm really pissed off at him!

Anyway, after that, I decided to bide my time and build my team a little more. I've still three squad members to recruit and only Zaeed is loyal to me. Not to mention there are still many assignments I've to complete.

After more hourse, I like Mordin: he's funny. And the bit where he sings he simply priceless. I also like Miranda very much, and Garrus and Tali are wonderful as ever.

Jack, Jacob, Grunt and Zaeed are always in the background. I'll do their personal missions, but they didn't click for me. Not as much as the other, at least, or, at least, not for now.

Wait a minute... You already went through the OMEGA-4 RELAY?

If I can give some advice - if you have already gone through the OMEGA RELAY, and plan on finishing up other quests - I'd RESTORE to BEFORE going into the OMEGA RELAY. (I am not even sure if you can go back and forth between the OMEGA RELAY once you go through it? Since this might be moot).

But I would highly recommend upgrading the ship as much as possible. It makes a difference in the cut scenes when you go through the OMEGA RELAY. Also, do everyone's loyalty mission if you have not - it will increase their chance of survival. Do everything you can before you go after the piece you need to go through the OMEGA RELAY. Once you get that specific piece - something VERY drastic happens - and if you don't react immediately you could potentially lose specific crew members you may care about as a player... that was my mistake. So I want to go through another play through and save a specific person from their fate, which happened because I didn't react immediately to what happened...

Thanks Tawmis, I'm aware of this... err... problem. However,

I was speaking of the mission where the Illusive Man sends you to a seemingly deserted Collector ship, the one aboard which you discover that the Collectors are actually heavily genetically modified Protheans. Now, I know that I've to go and snatch a Reaper IFF to go through the Omega Relay, but I've decided to postpone this mission until I've done everything else.

Actually, I have a question about upgrades.

Is the Medical Research Bay (50.000 platinum!!!) important? Because it's very pricey and I can maybe use the platinum elsewhere.

Also, about one particular foe of ME2:

How tough is that darned Praetorian? It usually takes me at least two tries before finally taking it down!

Yes, it's worth it. Because I believe it's what helps trigger a certain... discovery that Mord' will find. Without it... doing a part of the mission will be very, very difficult apparently. Or so I would assume. Perhaps Mord' still finds out what he needs without the medical update. The good thing is the element you need is pretty easily found. Almost all of the elements I usually had 150,000 of - except Element Zero. That stuff is very difficult to find. But I upgraded 100%. What sucks is - I did it after I grabbed the thing that triggers a specific cut scene... Ugh.

For the other guy/ship/thing - For those - I have a flame thrower. I move in circles and just toast it...

Yes. But not at that part. That was hard. What got me was the rush of Geth that came out. However, that's not the only time you encounter those things... later when I had the flamethrower - it works nicely on those things if you're good at strafing in circles around it and always staying away from it's fire power... but then be ready to bolt and run when it lands on the ground... what it does... is not good if you're close to it...

Fortunately I already defeated it two times, so I hope I'm done with this ugly thing!

I just found my favorite character (at least amongst the ones specific to ME2):

SAMARA!

She annoyed me! Entirely too righteous and rigid! She reminds me of Sten! But the positive side - she galaxies better than Jack!

I like her because she's mystical and eerie, and her eyes are amazing. She's powerful, and ascetic, and mysterious.

 We definitely have different tastes! For example, I enjoyed Wrex. Because you save him, then he's confused, lost, without you - and - before I say more - have you done his loyalty mission yet?

I admit I love Samaura's loyalty mission... there's an interest choice to be made during hers...

Guess you mean Grunt? No, I haven't done his loyalty mission yet, and I've really talked to him very little, so I can't really say.

For now, and without considering possible returning characters from ME1, I'd say:

1. Samara
2. Miranda
3. Mordin
4. Thane
5. Jacob
6. Grunt
7. Jack
8. Zaeed

But I also see that I'm still missing a character, even if I have no other recruitment to do :?

Do his Loyalty Mission. And then talk to him afterwards. And yeah, I meant Gruntnot Wrex!

For me, it's -

1. Miranda - Okay, perhaps her appearance has a lot to do with it...
2. Jacob - I loved that he was pretty much honest up front.
3. Grunt - It's very cool after his loyalty mission.
4. Thane - I like his style. Kills then prays for his sins.
5. Mordin - His dialogue - or how he speaks - cracks me up.
6. Samara - She has her uses...
7. Zaeed - He's good in a gunfight.
92919192. Jack

The missing person will appear when you least expect it. And probably fits in my #4 spot. Just didn't want to blab anything... You will be... shocked.
