SWAT 4: Stetchkov Syndicate (User License Agreement Problem)

Post by Sheepdisease »

Hello,

I am unable to install the expansion, as when I reach the license agreement and scroll through the text to the bottom, the "I accept the terms of the license agreement" box is greyed out and I cannot click 'ext' to continue.

I have installed this game many times before and don't understand what is causing the problem.

Any ideas how I might get around this problem? I have installed the SWAT 1.1 patch and am running Windows 7.

I don't have the game, so I can not try to see if I get the same problem or possible workarounds, so all I can do take a couple of shots in the dark. I am assuming that this is one of those objectionable installers that won't let you advance to the next page of the installer until you scroll to the very bottom of the EULA, as if that is going to get people read through all of the legalese nonsense. Try hitting the cursor down or page down key, selecting a bit if text in the EULA and dragging the cursor off of the bottom of the installer, try clicking and holding the scroll button, hit the space bar, etc.

Hello, thank you for your suggestions.

Unfortunately none of them worked.

Try compatibility mode settings for the installer.

That image was captured from the setup.exe installer when run in compatability mode with Windows XP (Service Pack 2). I have tried other combinations as well.

What else can you think of? :)

If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate you can try it with XP Mode.

Don't have Windows 7, so it's just a shot in the dark: are you signed in as admin? If not, sign in as admin and try again. Also, did this problem occur only after you installed the 1.1 patch? If so, you may have installed the wrong patch (for example the patch for the EU release of Stetchkov Syndicate on the US version). As a last resort, you can uninstall SWAT 4 entirely and reinstall, not patch it, and then try installing Stetchkov.
