The shop is called Rindir's Staffs. But even the proprietor of the shop is not sure.

I think the reason this was a topic of conversation for the NPCs was the correct plural of "staff". I'm also not sure about the correct pronunciation of "staves" here. NPCs use the pronunciation that rhymes with "caves" (which I believe is how "staves" as in musical notation is pronounced), but should it instead rhyme with "halves". This would make the comment NPCs make a little more sense since "staffs" and "staves" would be almost homophones.

Hmm. Not that it has much to do with staffs vs. staves, but IIRC, when Tolkien wrote "The Hobbit", he called Thorin's friends "dwarfs". But later, in The Silmarillion, he changed it to "dwarves". *shrug* Then Gary Gygax came along with the first edition of D&D, and it was "dwarves" all the way.

Dwarfs or dwarves?
Staffs or staves?
Who really knows?
And does it matter? ;)

It what? :? "HeroQuest" is a board game - I played it in something like 1991 or so. (IIRC, it was made by Milton Bradley). What is Hasbro making now?
