Found in Shapeir; not in any of the plazas. Yes and no in regards to part of the city of Shapeir.

Clue: I think my earlier clue (i.e. "People love me, people hate me") is misleading. The people I'm referring to are the "goodies" - i.e. the hero and his friends.

I also repeat that although I am not Shapeir, this guess is very, very close.

Are you the Oasis/Mirage?

That would be the mirror - blue (water), brown (sand) - just don't know about how it's "very" big.

The alive or not - could be the water and the plants.
