Hmm. The only clue I haven't examined yet is "Part of my name is both ends of a deed", because I couldn't think what this means.

Both ends of a deed? Literally that means "dd". But there's nothing in the shop like that. So I'm stumped!

A lot of the items on the shelves are anachronisms or items from other media, therefore not Sierra related. The x-ray glasses are a good example. The item I am thinking of is one of them. At the same time, the item I am thinking of has been seen somewhere else in the game (although maybe not exactly as it is seen on the shelf). It will make sense.

IIRC, when you're out in the desert, you see an airplane whizzing by for about 3-4 seconds. (A reference to Operation Desert Storm, IIRC)
