Tawmis did say it was in QFG.

Though I may have the answer:

Are you the Healer, Amelia Appleberry?

Come discover my delight
Under the pale moon light <----She provides the undead potion which lets you get the mandrake root at night in the cemetery
All you have to do is find my ring
And I will give you something. <----She will reward you for finding her ring.

I did say, QFG. Even mentioned I could imagine you cheering. :D

I am not Amelia.

This clue might be too obscure or too obvious...

People tell tales
Of heroes to tilt the scales
The hero's deeds spread
On the lips of the Grateful Dead
The Boy and the Wolves
Told like the story of Beowulf.

I have another thing in mind, but first:

Are you in QFG1?

Are you the fairies?

The ring refers to the ring of mushrooms, where you get some fairy dust. They only appear at night.

I'm not sure about the second clue, except that fairies and the story of the fairy ring is another example of folklore of the type you mention.

Yes, I am the fairies!

As you guessed - the pale moon light, was the clue they appear at night; and the ring, intentionally a red herring (to make people think of an actual ring) is indeed the mushroom ring!

For the second clue -

People tell tales
Of heroes to tilt the scales
The hero's deeds spread
On the lips of the Grateful Dead
The Boy and the Wolves
Told like the story of Beowulf.

People tell tales...
The Grateful Dead and the Boy and the Wolves are both FAIRY tales.

(I never knew this about the Grateful Dead, just discovered it - but once I saw it - I knew I'd use it for a clue and make people think of the band).

Fairy Tales. I didn't make the connection. I guess I was overthinking it. I also didn't know about "Grateful Dead" outside of the band.

Anyway, time for the next one:

I hate you because
I'm the loneliest number
Dated reference

Do you have anything to do with THREE DOG NIGHT?

They sing that song and the dated reference would fit.
