Crap! Did not see this! I am not located there.
Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 12:12 am As for me ... *thinks* Sigh. I can't think of anything else that would fit all those clues! :( Unless -- unless I'm thinking of the wrong boat (i.e. the one that carries you away from the ship). Maybe I should be thinking of something you need to get ON the ship in the first place! :D

So ... are you the swimsuit? :)

Look closely, and you might see me............................................. yes, you need to look carefully for the swimsuit.
But without me, you will never be free......................................... if you don't have it, the ship won't be at the docks.
Look for me where everything's stored
I promise you, I'm somewhere in that hoard.................................... yes, it's somewhere in the suit shop.
Where I lie is different each time
Best not get caught, for it is surely a crime..................................... yep, don't try to walk out of the suit shop without paying for your swimsuit! :P (I forget what happens if you do) :|
Having trouble finding me?
You'll need me to get out to the sea.............................................. yes, you do. If you don't have it, the ship won't be there.
Let me add just another to this note
But you will need me if you hope to get on that boat.

Hopefully I'm right this time! *crosses fingers* :D
Well, the swimsuit is ON the boat. And the last clue I give is you will need me if you hope to get on that boat. :)

But since ye made a guess ...

Look closely, and you might see me.
But without me, you will never be free.
Look for me where everything's stored
I promise you, I'm somewhere in that horde.
Where I lie is different each time
Best not get caught, for it is surly a crime.
Having trouble finding me?
You'll need me to get out to the sea.
Let me add just another to this note
But you will need me if you hope to get on that boat.
I am clearly not the swimsuit
So maybe the last lines of my clues are moot?
I said where I lie is different each time
But it's in the same place each time!
You've probably found me in real life too
If that helps give a better clue.

Sigh. Maybe I'm misunderstanding which boat Larry's trying to get on ... just to make sure:

Does Larry need you to get on the cruise ship, or on the boat that takes him to the "beach and jungle" spot?

Heh - even though it's supposed to be yes/no question - and that's an "or" question.

I will answer "Yes."

But more specifically, the cruise ship.

Before he gets on the cruise ship.

Aha. Hmmm... *thinks again* Let's do this logically.

- You're not the dollar bill, because Larry never sees you. (The player needs to know to root through the garage).
- You're not the lottery ticket.
- You're not the swimsuit (i.e. the one Larry gets from the shop).
- I doubt it's the onklunk, the haircut or the Grotesque Gulp. ;)

Are you Larry's passport?

Look closely, and you might see me.......................................... Larry really needs to dig through Eve's trash can. (Twice)
But without me, you will never be free...................................... Yep. Can't get on the ship without it
Look for me where everything's stored....................................... If "everything" is Eve's trash ;)
I promise you, I'm somewhere in that horde................................. Yep.
Where I lie is different each time............................................. Yeah -- within the trash can.
Best not get caught, for it is surely a crime................................. Yes, a crime against hygiene. ;)
Having trouble finding me?
You'll need me to get out to the sea.......................................... And you do! :D

Are you the dollar bill? That's the only one out of those that makes sense, considering the clues.

I am.

I like that you said this in the same post...
Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 7:52 pm - You're not the dollar bill, because Larry never sees you. (The player needs to know to root through the garage).

You ruled out the dollar bill, because you can't see it.
But guessed the passport - which you ALSO can't see.
And not only can't see it - need to search the trash TWICE.

So to explain my clues...

Look closely, and you might see me. <-- You need to look in the garage to find it
But without me, you will never be free. <-- You are stuck wandering around Los Angeles if you never find the dollar
Look for me where everything's stored[/i] <-- things are stored in the garage
I promise you, I'm somewhere in that horde. <-- Promise, because it's difficult, but it's there
Where I lie is different each time <-- I emphasized this line; because the "where I lie" isn't as in "lie down" - but when Larry says the Lotto numbers. The numbers are different (randomly selected each time)
Best not get caught, for it is surly a crime. <-- Pretty sure lying about having the winning lotto ticket and claiming millions is a federal offense. :D
Having trouble finding me? <-- Because you can't "see" it initially
You'll need me to get out to the sea. <-- Indicating I was in Los Angeles
Let me add just another to this note <-- This was a direct clue - money is often called notes, usually as slang
But you will need me if you hope to get on that boat. <-- Again, hinting I am somewhere in Los Angeles
I am clearly not the swimsuit <-- Because you guessed swim suit
So maybe the last lines of my clues are moot? <-- Me thinking my previous clues that you need to find me before you get on the boat is not being registered! :D
I said where I lie is different each time <-- Me specifying my previous clue with the following line
But it's in the same place each time! <-- The lie is always at the lotto office
You've probably found me in real life too <-- Meaning you've probably found money in your pocket (like when doing laundry) also
If that helps give a better clue. <-- Which, it clearly didn't really help! :D

Nope, the "lie" thing didn't really help. I was thinking "lie" as in "lie/lay down" - and the dollar bill is always in the same place.

Also, stealing a dollar and getting caught ... not exactly crime of the century. But yes, lying about the lotto ticket ... different story. Then again, the receptionist doesn't know any better (and the game cheats a bit to help Larry). ;)

So let me think ...

Sunny spot is where I am
Clearly, I'm not on the lam
But I'll help out of a jam.
:D

Enjoy! :)

Tawm ... yes. (That's the gimme) =P

NBS ... no.

(I'd give NBS a clue here, but the clue is pretty obvious!) ;)

Well ye only have to give a clue if they make a guess as to WHAT you are. So no need to give a clue yet anyway.
