Re: Tim Curry
Every time I see a new post in this thread, I have a feeling of dread. Too many have been passing of late.
Anyway - is that him... with Meatloaf?

Re: Tim Curry
It sure looks like it. Where did this happen, Collector?
I am filled with dread every time the news brings up Mel Brooks.
When he passes away, the world will become a much less funny place.

Many a tear will be shed here. If you want to keep in touch with all things Tim, I can recommend https://www.timcurry.co.uk/ by Steph, who might just know more about Tim Curry than Tim himself. She also runs the tumblr damnyoutimcurrywhyyousodistracting, the Curryfest forum I frequent, and she probably does Facebook and others as well.
Yeah that's Meat Loaf during the Rocky Horror run. Must've been quite a sight to see him in fishnets. Meat Loaf and other RHPS cast members will also appear at the UK Horror Convention in October, which I don't think I'll attend.

Re: Tim Curry
Well, he's not verified and his Twitter handle is actually @NotTheTimCurry so it's probably not actually him. Unless he's being really ironic.

Re: Tim Curry
NotTheTimCurry is called Stephanie in real life. She's one of the most knowledgable on Tim Curry. And she also runs the Tim Curry forum Curryfest, the tumblr Damntimcurrywhyyousodistracting, timcurry.co.uk and I think she has a Facebook as well.
Curry is a fan of Tetris but otherwise isn't known to do much with social media or computers in general.

Re: Tim Curry
Weird, because that means she runs the timcurrynews (https://twitter.com/TimCurryNews) Twitter? Because I checked and that's the one I see linked from that site. (Not uncommon to run more than one Twitter... I run like 8 of them)

Doesn't surprise me, she's been working for years to get official.

Re: Tim Curry
Glad to know that Tim's still alive.
And I love Richard O'Brien in the end saying "God made us in different ways ... thankfully", with a big smile.
I can't believe I have to say this in 2025 (and I'm not saying this to anyone here, but to some people out there) ... but it has to be said: the world would be boring if we were all the same. Shaming people for being different to you is bigotry. Our differences should be a cause for celebration, not fear, hatred or division.
Anyway, I'm done moralizing (sorry). Thanks for reading!

Tim Curry: The Most Beautiful Baby in Hong Kong (1947)
“By all accounts (mathematically confirmed) I was conceived in South Africa, which bears no relevance to my life other than to add to the tally of countries my parents referred to as “home.” My mother and father met in Malta, my older sister, Judy, was born in Port Said (near Cairo), and I was born in Grappenhall, a village in Cheshire, England, on April 19, 1946.
Within a year of my birth, we had moved again, this time to Hong Kong. While there, significantly before I had the capacity to protest, my mother took me to a commercial photographer, who submitted my image to a newspaper competition for the “Most Beautiful Baby in Hong Kong.”
I was rather cherubic at the time, with blond, wavy hair and inordinately large, blue eyes. I must have appealed to enough of the people who would vote for such a wretched contest, because I won. My mother later told me, without the slightest uptick of enthusiasm, of this ghastly honor that had been bestowed upon me. There was no reward.” - Tim Curry in #Vagabond
