I can't stand to watch people suffer picking only three games, so I'll cut them some slack.

Your top ten Sierra adventure games. Right here. As many in a series as you like. Even add little mini-reviews if you want.

I have still to play: Laura Bow 2, Manhunter 1-2, Shivers 1-2 and a couple of the first adventures released. So, maybe, my Top 10 could change!

In no particular order really -

1. Gabriel Knight I: Sins of the Father - This game is just so well written and I loved the voice casting for this one. It was just too good to pass up. (And I have a weakness for all things voodoo'ish!)

2. Space Quest III: Pirates of Pestulon - My favorite Space Quest of the entire series, and it's no doubt because I have fond memories of hours and hours of playing this with my then-best friend.

3. Leisure Suit Larry II: Loving For Love In Several Wrong Places - My favorite LSL of the entire series. I thought this LSL game felt so big, had a lot of fun puzzles, that weren't just pick this up, use it here kind of things! I like this LSL for the very same reason I liked KQIV.

4. Leisure Suit Larry III: Passionate Patti In Pursuit of the Pulsating Pectorals - Another one where I recall spending endless hours with my friend playing this game - this game really felt magical when I played it because it was the first LSL game for me that REALLY had some story to it.

5. Space Quest IV: Roger Wilco And The Time Rippers - The first advanced SQ4 game with the pretty graphics. From the opening to the end this game had my attention. I like how he jumped around to different versions of Space Quest. Was such a great way to do this game.

6. Torin's Passage - One of Sierra's best games, to me. Hands down.

7. King's Quest IV: Perils of Rosella - This game felt so huge to me, when I compared it to the likes of KQ1, KQ2 and KQ3. There was SO much to do! And Night and Day Cycles? This was unheard of and simply amazing!

8. King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow - Do I need to explain? Do I?

9. Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist - Recall playing this game with Amiee, like Torin's Passage. So it has a special place with me.

10. Phantasmagoria - Simply because I had just moved back to San Diego with Amiee and we were living with some childhood friends of mine who were kind enough to house us until we got on our feet - and we had got Phantasmagoria and played it together - there's a lot of fun memories attached to this game.

I can't bring myself to show any less than a top 12. I'm not entirely convinced of the order either. SQ4 is definitely at the top, though.

Uhmm... MusicallyInspired, your picks for #2, 5, 6, 9 and 10 are LucasArts/LucasGames games, not Sierra games... I'm not sure about #11 and 12, though.

My top ten Sierra games, in no particular order, are...

10. Quest for Glory 4 - what an utterly beautiful game... this game, for me, beats anything else, hands down. I'll even forgive it the infamous error 52.

9. Quest for Glory 2 - I just can't go past this utter classic. Anyone who's played it, I'm sure, will agree.

8. Leisure Suit Larry 1, Quest for Glory 1, Space Quest 1, Police Quest 1 - these four games occupy a slot of their own, simply for the nostalgia value. QfG1 was the first game I played. *smile*

7. Gabriel Knight 1 - I don't think I need to explain why this one is here.

6. Gabriel Knight 2 and 3 - I never managed to beat GK2, which is why it occupies a shared slot. GK3, for me, was a bit of a letdown after GK1; GK3 is a gem, but it felt rather bittersweet for me (particularly because of the ending).

5. Space Quest 3 - this one's here because it was the first of the Space Quests that I really enjoyed - as in, it was the first one that I didn't have a fear of Roger dying any second. SQ1 and SQ2 were fun, but it was far too easy to die, especially with the AGI interface.

4. Jones in the Fast Lane - oh, I remember this forgotten little gem. It never got the market share of the big 'Quest' games, but it's just as good!

3. Hoyle Book of Games 1 - I used to love this one when I was much younger. I still dip into from time to time, simply because it's fun to play silly card games with silly characters.

2. Police Quest 2 - as good as the original was, I doubt anyone would argue that the second was better, more complicated, and with greater depth.

1. A toss-up between LSL2 and LSL3, for the same reasons Tawmis mentioned.

I don't mention the King's Quest games because I never played them that much. The only one I managed to beat was KQ5 - and I thought that KQ was basically a less complicated version of QfG. That, and Cedric really got on my nerves.

LOL, typical misunderstanding. With "replayability", i'm refering to being able to play the game a thousand times, each time in a different way. This works with strategy games, simulation games, RPG games and such. Adventure games mostly have liniair (spelling?) gameplay, requiring the exact same actions each time you play it. That is also why the devs built in alternate endings, hidden scenes and alternate ways to play through an adventure.
It doesn't mean that i play each adventure game just once. That would indeed be rather shocking.

You bet it was! A classic Point & Click adventure if ever there was. It was the oldest series to utilize the episode system that games like Strong Bad and Sam & Max by Tell Tale are doing now. As was its sequel, Star Trek Judgment Rites. I'm speaking of the disk and CD-ROM games and not the NES game (which, according to the Angry Video Game Nerd, is garbage and not an adventure at all).

25th Anniversary was pretty good. I loved how you got points if you kept your ensign alive during each mission. I'll have to check out Judgment Rites.

I don't want to get off-topic, but Star Trek The Next Generation: A Final Unity is also an interesting adventure game. I still haven't gotten very far but the graphics are beautiful.
