Re: Zeliard Music.
Hmm. I've never finished Zeliard (or Zelda), but this reminds me ... those two games always confused me. Not only are the names similar, they're also both action-adventure games.
Is the game where some princess is in trouble, and you have to find nine crystals to rescue her etc.? And every town to come to looks the same, with a bank, an inn, and a smithy? That's all I remember about Zeliard. *blush*
(Mind you, I haven't played it or seen it since about 1992 ... so I'd say my memory is not too bad!)

That sounds like Zelda, which is the name of the person in trouble.Rath Darkblade wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 3:32 am Hmm. I've never finished Zeliard (or Zelda), but this reminds me ... those two games always confused me. Not only are the names similar, they're also both action-adventure games.

Which always confused me. The main character is Zelda is actually named Link.

Yes, I've heard of (and seen people dressed as) Link. If memory serves, he sort of looks like an elf, but dresses like Robin Hood. *shrug* Plus, his floppy hat always reminds me of either a garden gnome or Big Ears from the Noddy books (who looks like this).
Obviously, Link looks nothing like that. If he did, the most adventuring he'd do is, maybe, go down to the post office and post a letter or something.

Re: Zeliard Music.
No, actually I think that is Zeliard you're describing. There are multiple towns with a bank, inn, and smithy. In Zelda there is only one game with multiple towns and that's Zelda 2 for NES and there are no shops really, just a place where you can "rest" and rejuvenate your health. All the other Zelda's only have one town (sometimes two) and don't have banks or smithys, just moreso miscellaneous shops.
Also, Link's design was officially stated as having been directly inspired by Disney's Peter Pan (which is why in Ocarina of Time for the N64 Link is accompanied by a fairy throughout the entire game). Actually, Zelda 1 has no town at all.
