It's true. Other than the presenter, you can only hear about 50-60% of what everyone else is saying. I turned my volume up to 69% before I could hear. Here are my comments:

Hey, it's Josh Mandel! Yes, I remember him for KQ5, Dagger of Amon Ra, and SQ6, but especially for Freddy Pharkas. (Or as I thought of it when I first played it, "That cowboy game"). ;)

I think he also worked with Lori and Corey on Hero-U. :) (And Tawm, you really need to play and finish it, it's so much fun! Hint, hint -- nudge, nudge). ;)

Al Lowe needs no introduction, I'm sure. (Yes, he did all the games that Josh mentioned). ;)

Mark Seibert! I'm surprised he didn't mention Quest for Glory. He did the music for QfG1.

Yay, Lori and Corey! :D And also Dr. Brain! :D

 Al and Ziplock bag programming ... and especially Ken saying to Roberta "Hey look Roberta, look at these games -- they're just like your games!"

I can't imagine KQ being anything like LSL. ;) But then, Ken's house burns down ... and he has to read his Playboys with a candle ...

Yeahhh, don't tell anyone that story.

Ahh, the question about the Dynamix team. I certainly remember Dynamix games. "Willie Beamish", "Rise of the Dragon", "The Incredible Machine".

OK ... so I guess we can blame the Dynamix Engine for KQ8. ;)

Actually, Josh talking about "David Wolf: Secret Agent" reminds me that I played that game a long, long time ago ... in a galaxy not far away. ;) It was decent.

Whoops -- Josh was talking about Jerry Lattrell (who is sadly gone now) ... and I thought he meant the founder of Alice in Chains, so I thought "What?!!? Jerry's dead?!?" ... and then I discovered I was thinking of Jerry Cantrell, who's definitely NOT dead. (Whoops!)
=====================
 I love Al's story about writing the theme song for Larry ... in about 20 minutes before dinner. And yeah, people are still playing it years later.

I also love Mark Seibert's story about the QfG1 music - and the person he met started singing the music all those years later. :D Yep, Sierra music is catchy!

Lori's story is so heartwarming. :) Chance Thomas writing the QfG5 music, and Mark Seibert coming in to help, and everyone listening to the QfG5 soundtrack, even after Sierra broke up and moved north. (Who's cutting onions?) ;-)

I'm not sure who it is that talks about the Broken Sword games and Thimbleweed Park -- but I can double those recommendations. Broken Sword definitely has a lot of the Sierra vibes, and Thimbleweed Park reminds me a lot of Maniac Mansion. (No surprise there).

Return to Monkey Island, Heroine's Quest, Quest for Infamy ... yes. Definitely recommended. And Ron Gilbert's games.

I love Al's story about the post-Sierra Larry games. "How much time do you have?"

And then (about 25 minutes into the video), the producer told them: "I'm not going to pay you guys, 'cos I'd like ALL the money." Wow. And he stiffed Josh ... and he threatened to sue Al? (What for -- not releasing the rights to Larry?) :?

I don't blame Al for not wanting to do any more games. It's a pity. :( But I love the ending of his story: "So I've had nothing to do with the gamine industry except coming to these shows and having people go, "God, you're old."

Corey and Lori's story about QfG are fun. "I know what Quest for Glory 3 is gonna be!" and then they went away and made QfG3.

And yes, the first QfG4 release was fairly disastrous. (Don't talk to me about Error 52).  But the CD-ROM release was amazing. (I think it was the first talkie I played). I still play QfG4 from time to time.

Um ... "gorilla music" for the KQ6 credits? I'm confused. (This is about 30 minutes into the video, and I'm reading off the YouTube Captions). I don't think she was asking about "gorilla music". ;)

***plays the video*** Oh - "Girl in the Tower"! But yes, Mark's story is very fun. He still gets royalties for that song.

Hmm - they're talking about proposals for games that never made it. Here's one: "King Larry's Quest for Glorious Space Police." Graham, Larry, the QfG hero, Roger and Sonny Bonds all fight over who's going to be the main character, so the game never gets made.

The ending is great: what's your favourite joke or "bit" from your games? ;) Well ... Mark's comment is heartwarming. Corey remarks about why QfG is full of puns -- Robert Fishbach (a programmer) put in the first pun ... and the rest is history. :) And Al's favourite part was from LSL1, a sign over the hooker's bed that Larry has to look at to read: "Substantial penalty for early withdrawal".

Thanks for sharing, Tawm! :D
