Easter egg help - finding a particular one

I have been trying to check the game's Easter eggs, but I can't find information on all of them. I know that there is such a screenshot in the game because someone posted it: https://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/12816-the-adventures-of-willy-beamish-dos-screenshot-some-horror.gif ...but for the ...

Bypassing bugs in QfG4 - it's worth trying ScummVM too

"Quest for Glory 4" is supported by the new version of ScummVM and I tried playing it in ScummVM for the first time. My observations: generally, ScummVM doesn't allow bypassing the minor and unimportant bugs. For example, before the hero reaches 200 points in climbing (I played as a Paladi...

Re: Do you like Ecoquest? Are they real adventures?

Indeed, and already afterwards I realised that this might have been the reason.

Quest for Glory 3 - random events advice?

I'm re-replaying the game in ScummVM. I wasn't happy with my score because the last time, several times, I just didn't manage to click in time and was hoping that it can be "made up for" later (particularly three events: asking the Laibon about the spear after first arriving in the village...

Re: "The Crimson Diamond" - Canadian Laura Bow

And yes, I agree that the whole "women shouldn't be allowed to study X or Y or Z" etc. thing is ridiculous. Some colleges and universities don't allow people to study there on the basis of their race or religion. My father wasn't allowed to study electrical engineering in his hometown bec...

Re: Do you like Ecoquest? Are they real adventures?

for some reason I can't send the reply... I'll try again without real quotes - which is unfortunate because it looks better. EDIT: I'll have to retry without italics... Attempt 3 :( :( :( Response to Collector: That's it. Although, in my understanding I'd move it a bit further, to the end of typical...

Re: Bypassing bugs in QfG3 - try Scumm VM instead of DOSBox

I already figured out what to do.
However, the more important thing I wanted to write is: in version 2.1.2 of ScummVM compatibility with QfG2 seems to have been improved and the "no darkness bug" doesn't seem to appear.

"The Crimson Diamond" - Canadian Laura Bow

I'm surprised that there's still no topic at all about this game... http://www.thecrimsondiamond.com/ It's not a Laura Bow game, nor is it a game with any personal relationship to Sierra, but it's pretty much an homage to Laura Bow. It's a text parser game (not very happy about it) with EGA graphics...

Re: Do you like Ecoquest? Are they real adventures?

So because when you turn 18 you are typically (in the US) considered "an adult." So what? Being younger than adult doesn't make you a "young adult" , it makes you a subadult . (and yet, can't drink in most states, but whatever). In Europe it's 18, but I really don't care about i...

It seems that the game will have cartoony graphics and I like this. I was very disappointed when Hero-U turned out to be 3D..

Re: Do you like Ecoquest? Are they real adventures?

Why shouldn't they be "real adventures"? Are educational adventure games "not real adventures"? And, by the way, I just can't understand why does the phrase "young adult" seem to actually mean not even adult teenagers... For me it would seem that "young adult"...

Re: Laura Bow and the Mechanical Codex

My opinion:
not bad, but I regret that it's 3D. I just don't like 3D and vastly prefer classic hand-painted pixel graphics.
And Laura looks too flirty here. As an asexual woman I really miss female protagonists who just don't give a sh... about catering to the male gaze.

Re: Bypassing bugs in QfG3 - try Scumm VM instead of DOSBox

Hi again, this time I need help. I wanted to replay the game in ScummVM, but I don't know where's my file! I mean: I copied the saved character from my QfG2VGA to QfG3 folder with the correct, ScummVM-recognisable name. I tried to import character and discovered that the statistics don't match. I de...

QfG4 - meetings with Katrina

Apart from the obligatory, storyline-related meetings with Katrina (when the Hero first exits the cave and then, extensively, at the end of the game) and the moment in the castle when you can spy on Katrina and Ad Avis talking, it is also possible to meet Katrina on various nights (with the Hero sti...

King's Quest 7 - how to delete saved games?

Where are the saved games and how do I delete them? The save system in KQ7 is idiotic. I want to be able to reuse old save names instead of calling each game: Emu, Emu1, Emu2... Emu10000000... ("Emu" is another of my nicknames: EM stands for Eve Madeleine, and U... doesn't matter, I'm not ...
