Yeah well, sorry if I sounded harsh, but it has literally nothing to do with Sierra. Dynamix does, the game doesn't. Sierra never re-released it, or owned the Mechwarrior IP.
Sierra has yet to re-release quite a few games so I fail to see how that matters.

While Sierra itself never owned the MW IP, Dynamix did make the game and as a "Sierra-family" company, fits the criteria of this game. Some games, like A-10 Tank Killer, Stellar 7 and David Wolf: Secret Agent, weren't published or developed by Sierra, yet because they were created by Dynamix, they're allowable in this game. So I think MW is okay to use. ;)

Mechwarrior does have historical significance to large series of games under Dynamix/Sierra. In large part it is the genesis of the MetalTech/Starsiege universe of games. Also, let's not forget that the titles that were published before Sierra purchased these companies were the reason that they caught Ken's eye to begin with. Several of the better known Dynamix games were never republished under Sierra, but you will find references to many of these games on Sierra sites, including Ken's. Somehow I am more comfortable including these games than I am the games that were released when Sierra had become nothing more than a name to slap on other companies games under VU.
