Isn't that older? Anyway, that was my initial guess.

I used a Mobygames image and had it zoomed in a bit.

I'm sorry, I made a mistake. It's older than The Black Cauldron.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess...

King's Quest II

It's done in the same art style as Black Cauldron... and Al Lowe did the artwork for both Black Cauldron and KQ2. Since it's already established it's not Black Cauldron, that leaves KQ2... possibly the Amiga version since the background is probably a sky and the Amiga ports all sported that same sky color for a couple of years.

Wouldn't zooming in on the image be considered editing it in some way? I realize we need to crop images, but zooming in seems like distorting the overall image too much.

Oh yeah, it looks like the AGI Amiga/AppleII palette now that I look again.

King's Quest II
And we have a winner!!

I don't consider it cheating to zoom in a little, since it represents a good portion of the game screen anyway. Remember last time I had a good portion of the game screen from a Mobygames image? Became a funky coloured pixel. Mobygames just uses very small images for that.
