Yes, I partecipated, even though I've been too busy to post too much.
Anyway, both Datadog and BBP guessed me correctly.

Datadog guessed me correctly! I was Luna Lovegood.
I was SURE Tawmwas Stephenie Meyer and that Rathwas The Beatles. I don't think Rath participated.
My guesses:
Stephenie Meyer - Collector
Cookie Monster - Dot
Natasha - BBP
Hergard - Tawm
(I switched the last two around at the last minute... )

Okay, I am curious... why did people thinkI was Stephanie Meyer?Jules wrote: I was SURE Tawmwas Stephenie Meyer and that Rathwas The Beatles. I don't think Rath participated.

And you are correct, Jules.
Er, on the last minute switch.
What made you switch?

Re: The Masquerade Cast!
Since it's past Oct 31st (and Nov 1st, officially!), as guessed by Jules I was indeed Hergardalthough I am vastly curious how people didn't immediately know that? And whyJules thought I was Stephenie Meyer?

You didn't post all too many hints now did you Tawm? Last year you put hints all over the place.
(I SHOULD have guessed from that pick up line. Darn.) Anyway are you and Andrea going to guess, you being moderators and all?
Jules, I'm afraid you're wrong about me, sorry.

BBP, you are just too sly!
Tawm, I thought you were Stephenie by the amount of posts. But I switched at the last minute because I think you'd be the type of person to post a translator as opposed to BBP. It was just a feeling.

Re: The Masquerade Cast!
Guessing time!
I am sure that Jules is Luna Lovegood because she's a big fan of the source material, if I'm not mistaken.
As for the others, I'm afraid I'm a bit lost... however, I don't know if he partecipated or not, but Stephanie Meyer can only be Rath. "Her" posts were very similar in style to certain things he usually posts. And I think BBP is either Natasha or The Beatles.

Sorry Andrea, I'm neither. Rath didn't participate.

Well, to me, this time the fact that I picked someone fromThe 13th Warrior, I figured that was a stamp that screamed "Tawmis!" And last time, I did leave clues all over the place, because I posted so much. This time, I thought I wouldn't post as much (thus not leave so many clues, and not make the extensive post count so obvious it's me). I was certain this clue was going to make people think I was Luna Lovegood. So immediately, I knew who that was.
But I figured I wouldn't guess, because of being an admin, I can see people's IP address, and see who has posted from that IP. (Although I haven't done that). But I knew Datadog wasThe Beetles, because the humor that was in each post. It was right up his alley of that zanney kind of humor.

Re: The Masquerade Cast!
I still want to know how BBP guessed I was Bunnicula.

Elimination, dear Watson. I had Tawm, Andrea and Datadog pinned down and thought the other competitors didn't match the Friday Night Death Slot clue.DeadPoolX wrote:I still want to know how BBP guessed I was Bunnicula.

Re: The Masquerade Cast!
Yes I was Natasha, Datadog got that right.....although he spelled my name wrong.
Everyone else has been guessed correctly except for Stephanie Meyer, who I think is BBP.......
and Cookie Monster...who is someone who hasn't admitted to participating yet.
p.s. I knew immediately that Jules was Luna Lovegood, even before I knew who Luna Lovegood, the character. was.

Yes, I'll come out of the closet now...
Last year I was Gary, and besides giving away information on my true identity and extensive quotes from LSL6, there wasn't much I could do with it besides a feeble bit of poetry (Rainbow). This year I wanted a part with which I could really have some fun that could last beyond two weeks (in the years before there seemed to be a mass slumber or boredom after two weeks). It didn't work.
In December, listening to the last album in the Zappa marathon Civilization Phase III, I heard the character Spider saying he goes into a phone booth and comes out and then he is Gross Man. It gave me the idea of a comic superhero by the same name, and before long I had numerous sketches and a comic setup with plenty of nods to gaming and to members here. I eventually released Gross Man in my birthday thread, now merged. Rath was the only one who responded to it. I never bothered to write more than the two pages published in it.
Reason why I dropped Gross Man was I thought I had a better idea: play Stephenie Meyer. Everyone out here seems to have a strong opinion of Twilight, plus I could give you all a creative burst without having to bother about any quality level.
I have never read any Twilight book OR seen any Twilight movie. All I know about the series is what I've found on cracked.com, angryalien.com and the Rotten Tomatoes Show's feature of the 5 Lamest Vampire Powers.
Clues on me? Well... first off that's my arms in the avatar/book cover. In my Peg Leg journal on the Goose I mentioned how visible my veins were, especially compared to the nagging girl next to me in the hospital. And, much to the frustration of the rest of the family whose manicure is done by Al Dente, I let my fingernails grow long, particularly the thumb nail since I use that as bass guitar pick.
In the Two Lies thread, I mentioned I read Tolkien and Wilde. I've mentioned reading both authors elsewhere on the forum. I like bagels all-right, I detest pizza and abhor spirits. But that food question was a nod to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlPkEZ3_QXE
Musicals are as mixed with me as any other art genre. I was a huge fan of Cats back in the day. And honestly, believe me, I know literally every line to any episode of Are You Being Served?. John Inman was my hero as a teen, sorely missed.
I HATE spargus in spite of its amusing phallic shape, I can't stand the misogyny of Indiana Jones, and once I set fire to my undies. In my newspaper route days, I'd get so freezing cold, that when I'd get home, I'd put the kettle on and warm myself hanging over the gas kettle. And once I didn't pay attention and my legging and undies caught fire. There's photos of the damage online but I doubt anyone here wants to see my knickers.
One day, when I was cycling to school, I heard the voice of someone talking to me. Immediately I assumed it was some pervert, and I cycled a little quicker. Of course with traffic lights everywhere I didn't get far ahead, and he caught up. I swear it sounded just like English. He put his hand on my left shoulder, so my right hand morphed into a punching fist and I hit his hand as hard as I could. I looked over my shoulder.
It was my arts teacher.
My sister once cycled over my history teacher, the poor guy. He fortunately sustained only minor injuries but it was definitely embarrassing for both of us.
Alphabet game: clue. Clue. I'm a huge fan of Cluedo (Clue in US) and of course of the film. I even became a fan of the film years before I became a fan of Tim Curry.
Ink: I draw a lot.
If I were (_____) I would...: Once I found 120 euros on my newspaper round. I played good citizen and took it to the police. I'd love to own one of the cube houses in Helmond. Helmond isn't a pleasant town, but seeing three beautiful buildings in bad nick whenever I drove past was just too painful.
Of course the biggest hints were unintentional: twice I responded as BBP, and, as to not burden this forum's amount of data storage too much, I decided to upload my LED-light cover onto mijnalbum.nl. I assumed you'd all be nice enough to not look at the image properties.
...Unfortunately, I forgot that mijnalbum places a watermark across its images, with the NL letters in prominent position... OUCH. When I found out it was too late to do anything about it.
And LED-light... well... silly-fic is really my genre. The magnum opus I worked on for ten years then dropped altogether, was essentially a silly-fic. LED-light didn't require much imagination. The build-up and quite a few jokes were nicked off the Dutch Donald Duck website, and some of the story Ziggurat by Stephen O'Connor. The stories didn't take much more than an hour to write. Still with the low amount of feedback I didn't feel like continuing it. Costume fatigue. And I'm petty, one of my many vices. {snarls viciously}
