The red one almost hurts to look at. The lettering doesn't really "pop" with the lavender(? #3). Beige is kind of blah, and the navy blue (#2) is kind of muted. Black looks nice, but I've got to go with the last one. The royal blue is, well, royal. And it really goes well with the gold lettering.

I suppose the last one is best, for the reasons NBS already said. But personally, I can't see any difference between royal blue (the last one) and navy blue (#2).

Bottom one has a hue of purple to it.

I think (I'd need to look), but ironically, I believe it's the red one I own.

You might actually be right. There are a bunch of color optical illusions. Like the circles here are the same color. The lettering in the last one appears brighter, so that may be throwing off how we perceive the blue.

Anyway... I'd say either the black or blue cover. I honestly can't remember which one I had, though.

Anyway... I'd say either the black or blue cover. I honestly can't remember which one I had, though.

I think the black one has the best contrast for the King's Quest (goldish?) color font against it.
