Perhaps your Mystery Spouse is a Knight in Shining Armour (who says "knee"). ;)
There’s something familiar about this one... ;)

Yes, all right. But note the dates: I thought of "Mystery Spouse" exactly one year and 3 months (i.e. 15 months) after you did. Besides, it's not as if I plaigiarised your idea. :)

OK - let's change things up a bit ...

Mystery Grouse. Aaah! In a spectacularly unlikely twist, you are trapped within the Oxford Dictionary -- and now you must help Ox the Oxonian (who has muscles as big an ox and a brain probably not the same size) to figure out a mystery. :)

The mystery is this: why is it that the word "grouse" has two opposite meanings, depending how you use it? For instance, as a verb, "grouse" means "complain". 'Why are you inviting so-and-so?' He groused. 'That jerk picks his nose in public.'

But if you use it as a noun, "grouse" means "excellent". 'Man, you got me the Hawks jersey! That's grouse!'

And if you beat the game, you win one of these. ;)

Hey, that's grouse! :P

Quest for Glarry 1 - So you Want to be a Swinger? Due to a mix up at Sierra's marketing department, the "Leisure Suit Larry" and "Quest for Glory" games get mixed up, and the QfG Hero gets dropped into Lost Wages.

Help our Hero either find love or get back on the bus to Glorianna! :)

In the meantime:

Leisure Suit Glory 1. Leisure Suit Larry is dropped into Spielburg, where he goes looking for babes. ;)

But Hilde the Centaur tells him to stop horsing around; Amelia the Healer tells him to bottle it; and the nameless Dryad tells him that his pick-up lines are wooden. In desparation he prays to Erana, but of course she's dead and tells him so.

After many dangers, Larry finally gets to see Elsa von Spielburg (or should I say, Elsa von Brigand). How does he get there? Don't ask me, because I don't know. But when he asks her for a date, she says she's out of dried fruit.

Larry's so depressed by the whole thing, he hits the bottle -- and drinks the whole thing -- and belches so loud and long that the shockwaves knock Elsa backwards, uncorks a spare Dispel Potion, knocks the contents over her, and changes her back into Elsa von Princess. How glorious, Larry! How wise! (How lucky!)

Larry makes it back to the Baron's castle because his leisure suit is so bright and reflective, it dazzles the forest monsters and lets him escape. Yay, it's Larry the Hero! And no-one asks what happened to Barnard, 'cos he was a jerk anyway. ;-)

 "Pussy cats" ;)

Quest for Glarry 2: Trial by Foyer. Huzzah - Larry's made it to Shapeir! And he even found the Palace! :D

Your job, should you choose to accept it, is to help Larry get past the secretary's desk in the foyer, so he can see the boss. Good luck. ;)

That's actually a good pun - with "Affairs" also meaning cheating spouses. :)

Hey, I created puns too? ;) "Trial by Foyer" is a reference to "Trial by Fire", but also to Larry's trials and tribulations in getting past the king's secretary in the palace foyer.

Quest for Glarry 3: Wages of Bore. Oh dear, oh dear. Larry wants to save Tarna, but he is stuck in meetings with King Rajah because Rajah is a big, fat bore. Can you help Larry get away from boring meetings? ;-)

Well I meant, a pun as in sexually noted to fit with what he had.

Police Quest with an affairs title which focuses on Larry. Like Larry trying to have an affair with a cop's wife.

Fair enough. *nods* Double meaning of the word "affair".

Now that I think about it, Larry's not the kind to have affairs, is he? He seems more like the kind of person who tries to pick up single women, not married ones.

Of course, there's nothing to stop him "overlooking" a wedding ring or its significance. "That's a nice ring" etc... then (much later) the husband walks in. "Whadda you doing fooling with my wife?" And so on. ;)
