I have found a fair bit in such places. Remember, they rely on wealthier people to donate stuff.

Not necessarily. Maia and I had a terribly difficult time trying to donate stuff, mostly because many organizations have strict rules about what may be donated and in what condition. It's not like we attempted to donate anything broke or disgusting, but apparently many people have, so they don't accept items like bed sheets and items like that.

In reference to games, however, they'd probably accept those. However, given that donated items generally go to those who're extremely poor, they might now own a computer. Without a computer, these games are worthless (unless someone finds tossing 3.5" diskettes at others a fun sport).

Really, DPX?

Crazy. At the Salvation Army close to Downtown - my wife and I throw all kinds of clothes, shoes, etc into trash bags and boxes and bring it by. They just ask how many of what stuff, etc - and they give us a piece of paper for a tax write off, without even checking the condition of the contents.

Tawm, you may want to try posting on craigslist.com or try a freecycle location near you. You can find freecycle yahoo groups that are in your area. It's an email list, essentially. I posted something like, "seek: old sierra games" and this one guy sent me a few Police Quest and Space Quest games still in the box.

http://www.freecycle.org/

Type in your town and state and it'll take you to their local yahoo group. I got a free bike that someone didn't need from that site. I also got rid of an older cutlery set and a few other things that I didn't need anymore. And it's all for freeeeee.

Oh. They use eGroups. Well used to be eGroup. Now Yahoo groups. Very familiar with it. Been using it (the group format) for many, many years now!

Will have to check it out.

So you are the one that got it. I was watching it, but things are tight for me right now, so I didn't bid.

You never know when i'll strike ;). But don't you already have Stagefright? I'm pretty sure you had it listed in the old collections thread on the former Sierra forums.

No, I don't. I need a better copy of Puzzle of Flesh, first.

So far, I only have the Sierra Originals of Phantasmagoria 1 & 2 and, since those are UK editions, they cut out the most gory parts, which of course prompted my "what-the-&#@%" reaction. Even more reason to toss a small bomb on this US compilation ;).

You'll have to use the SHP Phantasmagoria and the STC Phantasmagoria 2 installers, then.

At my biweekly raid of the second-hand store in nearby Geldrop I found Space Quest 6.
There's a new script around: PHANTASMAGORIA - A Puzzle Of Flesh! Check the Script Party topic in the Bard's Forum!
