Tim Curry
Re: Tim Curry
There's a lot of fun for TC fans to go around at the moment inbetween all activities for Rocky Horror's 50th birthday and Vagabond (so torn between the audio book and the hardcover!). Here's a recent one from Insta:
For over 50 years, Tim Curry has inspired audiences around the world with his extraordinary talent, unforgettable characters and unmistakable voice. From The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Clue to IT, Annie and countless stage and screen performances, his work has become part of film and theatre history.
Fans everywhere agree that it’s time for Tim to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Tim has given his full support to this campaign, which already has industry backing and the necessary funding in place. Now it’s about letting the Chamber see how much he continues to mean to audiences everywhere.
Please visit www.timcurry.co.uk/star and share what Tim means to you and why you think he deserves a Star! Link in bio too!

Done and shared.
Thanks, BBP!
I also found this fun interview with TC in the NY Times. Hope you enjoy.

Can't get to work, but no biggie, I just bought the audio book. I couldn't resist.
I had two freebie audio books by Tim already, but he made so many more

Re: Tim Curry
Sounds exciting.
Have fun listening, BBP! Please let us know what it's like.
Re: Tim Curry
I am listening to it now, he's talking about how difficult he finds publicity. I found some sections about his youth and his grandmother hit close to home.
It's difficult to listen to him, you can tell it's a struggle for him to talk for long stretches of time. Poor guy.

Re: Tim Curry
Finished it. There's a chapter on voice acting, in which he says he's not all that keen on video games and never saw the appeal (not entirely true as he was a fan of Tetris and can be seen in photos dressed as Cardinal Richelieu sporting a Gameboy) , but he did enjoy shooting Red Alert 3 and green screen acting.
Tim briefly lashes out at Trump and imitates him at some point, he also goes into other imitations which is very darling. He even sings just a tiny bit.

Re: Tim Curry
I thought that I had posted this here a while back, but I can't find it here, so here it is again.
A YouTuber that I watch, Elizabeth Zharoff, an operatic singer with multiple degrees in music and voice. On her channel she explores rock and pop music that she ignored most of her life and does these interesting analyses as she delves into them. The following video is not typical for her, but I post it here because of the subject. Although she knew of Tim Curry, she had never seen "Rocky Horror Picture Show" so she does so here, with insights into the vocal performances and techniques used.

Re: Tim Curry
Um ... Instagram tells me:
Post isn't available
The link may be broken, or the profile may have been removed.
Also, it sends me to https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUbRgm9jD-j/ (i.e. instagram deletes the "officialtimcurry" part before loading the page). What's happening?

P.S. Did I mention it was hilarious?
Oh, and yes: both the scientist and his "creature" die on the end. I suppose it was inevitable. Poor Victor and Adam, er, Frank and Rocky. Even their deaths were incredibly similar: Victor and Adam die in an inferno, and here, they die of laser-related injuries. (Sorry if that's obvious to everyone else.

I see they removed it from Insta, but here:
