Larry Laffer's Great-Grandfather In The Wild West!

Post by Rath Darkblade »

... so I was reading a book called "Great Train Robberies of the Old West", where the author mentions the "Kit" Joy Gang of New Mexico.

Later on, Christopher "Kit" Joy is chased by a posse ... and one of the posse members is named Joseph Lafferr. :D I saw that in the book, blinked twice, and thought "WHAAAA...?" ;)

Has anyone heard about this? Is this where Larry Laffer's name comes from? :) Just wondering ...

'Course, Larry's great-grand pappy was in the wild west, in Freddy Pharkas :D

Laffer comes from Arthur Laffer (that's the guy responsible for the "Laffer Curve" that destroyed US economy under Reagan) and a friend of Al Lowe's.

Fair enough. *nods* Well, I learned something new. Still, it's cool that Laffers (even in disguise, with an extra "r") have existed as long ago as the Wild West. ;)

Can you imagine Larry's great-great-and-a-few-more-great-grand-pappy in the Old West? (Or Wild West?) What would it be like? :)
