SOE stands for Sony Online Entertainment. I could see you "not getting into" one of their games, but the company itself?

Well, I never got into any of SOE's games, so I never really "followed" them. As a consequence, I'm not sure why it matters that they're changing their name.

EverQuest was probably THE most popular MMO for a VERY, VERY long time; there was support groups for wives, because husbands played it so much.

That is, until World of Warcraft came out, and shunted it into the shadows.
